Some of American Idol's former finalists are going back to school this summer.

Other former Idol finalists expected to teach this summer include Season 4 finalist Vonzell Solomon, Season 3 finalist Jon Peter Lewis and Season 2 finalist Carmen Rasmusen, with the announcement of additional staff members still forthcoming. The former Idol finalists participating in Idol Camp will work in partnership with performing arts educators to teach a variety of classes that will educate youngsters on singing, dancing, acting, songwriting and audition techniques.
"This roster of Idol Camp instructors helps to reinforce our commitment to creating a unique American Idol experience while providing children with the ultimate performing arts education," says Donna Milani Luther, Idol Camp's director. "All of these talented individuals have something special to offer our campers and we're looking forward to working with them this summer."
Enrollment into Idol Camp is still open to youth ages 12 through 15 throughout the U.S.. The deadline for applications is this Wednesday, April 18. More information about Idol Camp is available on the camp's idolcamp.com website.
