Three gunmen in dark clothing reportedly broke into an apartment near North Carolina State University and stole wallets, cash and electronics among other valuable items.
The website has obtained the actual 911 call, however, it's unclear whether McCreery was the one to place the call since North Carolina state law requires the distortion of voices on the tape. The person on the tape claims the apartment was broken into when he was asleep and the others were in the living room.
"They took everything we had," the voice explained to authorities, adding that they had been instructed to get face-down on the floor and cough up all their belongings.
McCreery was crowned the winner of Idol's tenth season back in Spring 2011 after defeating runner-up Lauren Alaina for the title.
