The rejected The Bachelor bachelorette and former Dancing with the Stars eighth-season celebrity participant got engaged to boyfriend Tye Strickland on Friday, People confirmed Monday night.

Strickland reportedly proposed to Rycroft at White's Chapel in Southlake, TX.  After getting engaged, the couple then met their parents for a celebratory dinner at the Brio Tuscan Grille in Southlake, according to People.

Following the dinner with their parents, Rycroft and Strickland continued their engagement celebration with about 20 friends at Cretia's, another Dallas-area restaurant, according to Us Weekly.

"When they walked in, everybody stood up and clapped," an employee told Us, adding that the group continued celebrating until the restaurant's 2AM closing time.

News of Rycroft's possible engagement had first been reported by the Dallas The Morning News on Monday morning.  Strickland's proposal included presenting Rycroft with a ring box which featured internal lighting to add to the engagement ring's sparkle, according to The Morning News.

Rycroft had dated Strickland on-and-off prior to appearing on The Bachelor's thirteenth season, which filmed last fall.

She got engaged to Jason Mesnick during the taping of The Bachelor's Final Rose Ceremony in November -- but he later dumped her on-air in favor of runner-up Molly Malaney during a January taping of the season's After the Final Rose special.

Once the After the Final Rose special aired in March, Rycroft appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and discussed her relationship with Strickland.

"Because of the privacy and everything going on, we haven't really been able to explore a new relationship, but now that everything is over, I'm so excited," she said at the time.

"I've known him for two years and kind of done the dating on/off. He has been my biggest rock and supporter throughout this whole process and so he's become my best friend."

Strickland was subsequently a constant presence at CBS's Los Angeles studios during Rycroft's Dancing with the Stars run, which ended last month when she finished third behind Gilles Marini and eventual champ Shawn Johnson.

Rycroft recently began working as a correspondent for Good Morning America.
