"I've lost almost 65 lbs, can you believe it!?!?!" the former American Idol fifth-season finalist wrote Saturday on her personal MySpace blog.  "I am NOT dieting! I have simply changed the way I eat.. for good! I have a personal trainer and workout about 5 days a week."

Despite eating healthier and exercising more, Hundley said the biggest factor that contributed to her weight loss was her faith.

"I have had to change the way I think about food and change the way I handle temptation," she wrote.

"For me, that has meant A LOT of prayer and meditating on God's word. That is the only way I have been able to resist the temptation to give in to every desire that I have. You'd be surprised by how much the Bible has to say about food and temptation. It has been a lifeline for me. That is why I can say from my heart that."

After she was eliminated from Idol's Spring 2005 fifth season, Hundley credited the show with helping her lose 30 pounds.  However her struggle with weight did not end there.

"I have battled with food addiction since I was a child. At a very early age I began turning to food to find comfort," she wrote before reiterating her faith has helped curb eating comfort food.

"Now God is teaching me that I need to turn to Him to find comfort. There is no such thing as 'comfort food'. Any comfort I received from food was always temporary and resulted in more pain."

Hundley's second album "Freedom" is currently slated to drop March 24.

"I am so proud of this new album and hope you will enjoy it," she wrote.
