Rimes canceled three concerts, including one in Hampton Beach, N.H., and two in Niagara Falls, Ontario, because "a tear in the tissue" of her leg became infected, People magazine reported Tuesday.
"It's a minor surgery, but because of the infection it was urgent that she takes care of it right away," her representative Diana Baron said in a statement.
Rimes is expected to resume her tour with the July 19 concert in Twin Lakes, Wis.
