Former Road Rules contestant Danny Dias has sadly died at the young age of 34.

The former MTV star was found dead in his Brooklyn, NY, apartment on Saturday, June 3, according to Us Weekly.

A New York Police Public Information Officer revealed to Us that authorities responded to a 911 call at approximately 5PM that day. Once police arrived at 896 Flushing Avenue, they "discovered a 34-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive."

"The EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene," the PIO continued. "No criminality suspected at this time. The Medical Examiner is going to determine the cause of death. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing."

Dias was found with two vertical lacerations on his forearm, TMZ reported, and so police are now treating the case as a possible suicide.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Dias was home in his apartment on Saturday with a friend, who allegedly saw the former reality TV star take what he believed were hallucinogenic drugs -- LSD and mushrooms.

The friend reportedly said Dias "freaked out" and ran into his room after allegedly taking the drugs, which was the last time he saw Dias alive.

According to TMZ, the friend left Dias' apartment but called him over the next two days, receiving no response, which was alarming. The friend therefore reportedly called 911 to request that someone check on Dias.

First responders allegedly had to force their way into Dias' bedroom, where the former MTV star was found unconscious.

Dias was from Linden, NJ, and competed on Season 13 of Road Rules in 2004 alongside cast members including Derrick Kosinski, Patrick Maloney, and Jodi Weatherton.

Dias later appeared on The Challenge in 2005, but he lasted only four episodes. The Challenge was originally known as Road Rules: All Stars before it was also dubbed Real World/Road Rules Challenge.

After his two reality TV stints, Dias worked in finance, studied acting and co-founded an AIDS research charity called Generation Cure.
