Sean Duffy apparently wants to have a larger impact on the real world.

"Sean represents a new generation of leaders," Superior, WI Mayor Dave Ross told KQDS. "When [voters] see true conservatism practiced: fiscal responsibility, individual liberty, they will vote for it."
The 37-year-old Duffy has served as Ashland County's district attorney for the last seven years, and he is hoping to defeat incumbent Dave Obey -- a Democrat who has served in the United States House of Representatives since 1969.
Obey has won his last four re-elections by a 20% to 75% margin of victory over his nearest Republican opponent, according to KQDS, which added Duffy is unconcerned by the challenge he faces.
"When people go to the voting booth, they don't know who the challenger is to Dave Obey," Duffy told KQDS. "So, without a lot of choice, I think they go for Dave Obey."
Duffy specifically took aim at Obey -- chair of the House of Representatives' appropriations committee -- for his part in the $700 billion stimulus package.
"Our congressman, Dave Obey is the proud author of that pork-filled stimulus legislation," said Duffy.
Duffy appeared on The Real World's 1997 sixth season in Boston and is married to former The Real World: San Francisco cast member Rachel Campos. They have five children together and reside in Ashland, WI.
Before he can challenge Obey, Duffy first has to defeat fellow Republican Dan Mielke in the party's primary.
Duffy previously mulled a run for Congress in 2004.
