Fox announced Friday that it will air four reality shows as part of its Summer 2005 programming schedule. In addition to the return of last fall's Renovate My Family series, Fox will also debut Hell's Kitchen, The Princes Of Malibu. and So You Think You Can Dance.

Hell's Kitchen will kick off Fox's summer schedule, premiering Monday, May 30 at 9PM ET/PT. An adaptation of a popular British reality show of the same name, Hell's Kitchen will be hosted by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay -- the same person at the center of the UK edition of the series -- and feature twelve wannabe restaurateurs competing to win ownership of a new Los Angeles restaurant that the group will be assisting Ramsay in opening. A combination of NBC's The Restaurant and The Apprentice, Hell's Kitchen will feature its chef-wannabes living together and helping Ramsay open the new restaurant, with Ramsey eliminating one contestant each episode.
A month later, Renovate My Family will return to the airwaves, premiering all-new episodes beginning Thursday, June 30 at 9PM ET/PT. Hosted by Jay McGraw, Renovate My Family's new season will once again be the "ultimate family makeover" show, with McGraw helping to put needy families on a "life improvement program" that will renovate not only their homes, cars, and personal appearances, but also their lifestyles and relationships.
A couple of weeks later, Fox will roll out a completely different type of family-based reality show -- The Princes Of Malibu. Debuting Sunday, July 10 at 8:30PM ET/PT. The Princes Of Malibu is a half-hour reality comedy that sounds more than a bit like a less scripted male version of the network's The Simple Life series, with brother Brandon and Brody Jenner serving as the "princes" referenced in the title. The stepsons of 14-time Grammy Award winning musician/composer/producer David Foster and sons of Linda Thompson and her ex-husband Bruce Jenner, the adult brothers have moved back home into Foster's luxurious 22-acre compound -- and are driving Foster crazy in the process. Young, attractive, and charming, the brothers have been using Foster's wealth -- and their mother's unconditional support -- to live the high life, running up tabs at expensive restaurants, playing around all day, partying all night, and bringing hundreds of friends and strangers home with them -- literally.
Driven to distraction by the boys' antics, Foster is finally putting his foot down, insisting that if the boys want to continue living under his roof they are going to have to begin accepting some responsibility and paying their own way. With their actions also upsetting neighbors that include Britney Spears, Pamela Anderson, Barbra Streisand and Johnny Carson, Foster is ready to take some very drastic measures.
In mid-July, Fox will debut So You Think You Can Dance, a search for America's best dancer, on Wednesday, July 20 at 8PM ET/PT with a two-hour premiere. Produced by the creators of American Idol and the producers of American Bandstand, So You Think You Can Dance will feature a "grueling" 12-week competition of America's best undiscovered dancing talent. Fox no doubt hopes that the series will work out better than the last summer series created by American Idol's producers -- Summer 2003's failed American Juniors series.
