Judges aren't yet saying who among the estimated 7,000 hopefuls passed festive auditions in San Antonio for "American Idol."

Talented Texans and folks from as far away as Chicago and Virginia lined up outside the Alamodome before dawn Friday, waiting patiently for their chance to impress the judges and get a shot at appearing on the popular series that begins its sixth season on Fox in January.
The San Antonio Express News said Saturday there were plenty of performers who appeared as interested in joining the party as they were breaking into show business.
An Air Force sergeant showed up in a Batman suit while a quartet of former New Orleans residents winged it in their send-up of the Village People classic "YMCA."
Still others gave it their all with varying degrees of competency in hopes of being asked back for a future audition.
