Fox announced it has bumped back the debut of Anchorwoman, a new reality series that will follow a former beauty queen trying to make it as a Texas television news anchor despite her lack of previous journalism experience.

Anchorwoman will now premiere with a special one-hour episode of Wednesday, August 22 at 8PM ET/PT, a day later than when Fox originally announced the reality series would premiere. In addition, Anchorwoman will now air new half-hour episodes beginning August 29 on Wednesdays at 8PM ET/PT instead of in its previously announced regular time slot of Tuesdays at 8PM ET/PT.
Lauren Jones, a 24-year-old Jackson, MI-native and former Miss New York, will serve as Anchorwoman's star. Jones has modeling and acting credentials that range from appearances in Seventeen magazine to the soap opera Guiding Light. She has also worked as a World Wrestling Entertainment "diva" and been a "Barker Beauty" on The Price is Right.
Anchorwoman will chronicle Jones' journey as the newest anchor for CBS affiliate KYTX-TV Channel 19 in Tyler, TX, the "Rose Capital of America" situated in the eastern part of The Lone Star State.
She was employed by KYTX owner Phil Hurley, who's hoping the buxom blonde can help boost the ratings of his middle-market news station by making her the anchor of the 5PM newscast. Jones made her KYTX debut on June 11, much to the chagrin of reigning anchor Annaisa Petraglia; news director Dan Delgado; and hard-nosed reporter Michelle Reese, who all feel Jones is either lowering journalistic standards or mooching off their air time.
