Fox has announced it has renewed its Gordon Ramsay-hosted Hell's Kitchen summer reality series for a fourth season that will air in 2008.

Like the show's first three editions, Hell's Kitchen 4 will feature Ramsey leading a group of contestants through a culinary boot camp competition that will end with one of them winning an unspecified but "coveted" prize.
Hell's Kitchen's first premiered on Fox in Summer 2005 and has since seen two additional installments follow a similar summer broadcast schedule. Hell's Kitchen 3 debuted in early June and averaged eight million viewers as well as a 3.6/10 rating/share in the Adults 18-49 demographic, making it the show's highest-rated premiere to date among total viewers, Teens, Women 18-49 and Women 25-54. Hell's Kitchen 3's finale is scheduled to air Monday, August 13 at 9PM ET/PT.
While Hell's Kitchen's fourth season isn't expected to air until Summer 2008, home viewers won't have to wait that long to get their next Ramsey fix. Back in January, Fox announced that it had ordered Kitchen Nightmares, an American adaptation of the U.K.'s Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares reality series. Kitchen Nightmares, which will feature the chef travelling across America and helping restaurants in crisis, will premiere on Thursday, September 13 at 9PM ET/PTand be part of Fox's Fall 2007 primetime schedule.
Despite a less-than-desirable Thursday night time period that will pit the show against both ABC's Grey's Anatomy and CBS' CSI, Fox apparently has high expectations for Ramsey's new reality series. "[Kitchen Nightmares is] the best reality show we've ever done," Fox reality programming head Mike Darnell told reporters during a Television Critics Association summer press tour session on Sunday, according to TV Week.

In addition to Hell's Kitchen, Fox also announced So You Think You Can Dance -- which first premiered in Summer 2005 along with the culinary competition series -- has also been renewed for a fourth installment to air in 2008.
