Frances Callier and Spencer and Heidi Pratt were all shown quitting I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! during last night's broadcast of the three-week NBC reality competition.

In addition to the trio's departures, last night's broadcast also concluded with the show confirming that Holly Montag, Heidi's older sister, will be joining the competition.

Frances left I'm a Celebrity after deciding that she wasn't interested in continuing to compete without Angela V. Shelton, her "Frangela" comedy duo partner who had been voted out of the competition during Thursday night's live broadcast.

"Being here without my best friend sucks," Frances said as she announced her decision to quit.  "My best friend is my partner and I belong by her side.  I hate to say it but I'm a celebrity, get me out of here."

Spencer and Heidi's exit occurred when Heidi was taken to a local Costa Rican hospital on Saturday after complaining of stomach pains and vomiting repeatedly.

The departure occurred after Heidi and Spencer -- who had originally quit I'm a Celebrity only two days after it began -- had earned the right to return to the competition by spending Thursday night in "The Lost Chamber," a run-down structure in the jungle. 

The couple's return was also allegedly subject to the consent of the show's other cast members, most of whom had initially voted against the idea when they were first asked to vote on the issue during Wednesday night's live broadcast. However that allegedly changed, and Heidi and Spencer were allowed to return to re-join the rest of the celebrities at their outdoor jungle camp after exiting the chamber on Friday morning.

"We as a tribe, as a group, decided that we would let Heidi and Spencer back into the camp," Lou Diamond Phillips said.  "Not exactly with open arms, but with open eyes."

However Heidi and Spencer's return proved short-lived when Heidi began vomiting on Friday night, leading to the couple eventually leaving the competition on Saturday after only one night back at the camp.

"I love you guys [and] I wish you could have seen the new and improved Spencer but he needs to go," Spencer said during a parting confessional interview.  "That's your farewell, we're actually leaving across the bridge so we're really going to take Heidi to the hospital."

Although the exact nature of Heidi's illness was never disclosed, hospital tests seemed to rule out anything serious, as well as the possibility of pregnancy.  Meanwhile, the rest of the show's cast seemed to blame it on the couple's decision to "fast" and not drink enough water after returning to the competition.

"She's massively dehydrated and she needs fluids and energy.  You can say 'I'm taking an oath of fasting' but you have to keep your strength up," Lou said.

"She wasn't really doing the things she needed to do to take care of herself," Patti Blagojevich said.  "You know she was drinking one bottle of water when we're supposed to be drinking four to six... and they weren't really eating -- Spencer said he was on spiritual fast.  You really need to eat and drink to keep up your strength and be able to play."

Similar to her explanation for why they quit the competition the first time, Heidi appeared to blame evil forces for her illness.

"Demons were coming out. Just evil coming out of me today," Heidi said.

Spencer seemed to take unusual delight in his wife's illness.

"Don't cry, this is the best thing that's happened," he urged Heidi as she crouched in the jungle preparing to vomit.

"You're so excited right now, I said 'God give me a sign' and you being sick the second day [back is it]," Spencer told her.

"Best decision of our lives!" he responded when Heidi said she was going to leave the competition and go home.

Last night's broadcast appeared to put a conclusive end to this past weekend's allegations -- which seem to have been started by Stephanie Pratt, who was presumably getting her information direct from her brother Spencer -- that I'm a Celebrity's producers had "tortured" Heidi and Spencer as part of their return to the competition.

"[I'm] really saddened to hear that NBC felt it was ok to punish Speidi so harshly - and torture them as if they were criminals - that Heidi was rushed to the hospital and has an IV in her arm after being locked in a dark room for 3 days [with] no food or water. [Please] pray she will be ok," Stephanie wrote in a series of Twitter postings on Saturday night.  "Her family is flying out to see her in the hospital. I know they pulled some shitty antics - but really NBC?? Too far."

Production sources had immediately denied the allegations -- which later morphed into several media reports that cited unnamed sources -- and insisted that the couple had only spent one night in The Lost Chamber and had been provided food and water while there.

ITV Studios,  I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'s production company, subsequently issued a formal media statement in which it denied the "torture" allegations.

"ITV Studios, producers of the series, state that press reports at this time are untrue," the production company said in the statement.  "ITV has been producing this format around the world for many years and the health of the celeb participants are of the utmost importance. A medic and a doctor are present at the location at all times for all participants.  All allegations of the celebrities being deprived of food and water are completely untrue."

Heidi reportedly left the hospital on Sunday.  She was diagnosed with a "stomach infection" that is "not considered serious," according to an Access Hollywood source.
