Gabby Pascuzzi was eliminated from Survivor: David vs. Goliath after she attempted to betray her closest ally, Christian Hubicki, during Wednesday night's Survivor Season 37 episode on CBS.

Gabby, a 25-year-old technical writer from St. Augustine, FL, who currently resides in Denver, CO, was voted out on Night 32 through a 5-2-1 vote at Tribal Council. She became the thirteenth castaway to leave the game and Survivor: David vs. Goliath's sixth jury member.

Christian, a 32-year-old robotics scientist from Baltimore, MD, who currently resides in Tallahassee, FL, actually received five of those votes, but he decided to play a hidden Immunity Idol for himself.

Gabby therefore left the game with two votes, compared to the one vote that went to Alison Raybould. a 28-year-old physician from Leawood, KS, who currently resides in Chapel Hill, NC.

"I started this game as an underdog. I still kind of feel like I was an underdog," Gabby said in her final words. "But for me, it was a personal triumph to do something with confidence and not seek reassurance from all over. But if people saw something in me that they wanted to take out, then maybe I'm more of a Goliath than I thought."

During an exclusive interview with Reality TV World on Thursday, Gabby talked about her Survivor experience. Below is the first portion of what she had to say.

Reality TV World: After Alison received one vote at Tribal Council, you apologized to her as if she would be the one going home. So is it safe to say you were blindsided, that you didn't think any votes were coming your way?

Gabby Pascuzzi: I was definitely blindsided at that Tribal, but I had a gut feeling based on some stuff that was telegraphed at Tribal, in particular, [Angelina Keeley]. (Laughs)

As soon as Angelina said, "I'm voting for somebody I've never worked with and I've never seen a path forward with," I was like, "Oh my gosh, is she voting for me?!"

So my apology to Alison, I was hoping there would be more votes for her, but I was also apologizing to her because I had told her that Christian did not have an idol, so I was partially apologizing for the fact Christian did have an idol.

Reality TV World: So it sounds like it wasn't much of a surprise to you then that Angelina and Mike White were the ones who had voted for you.

Gabby Pascuzzi: I mean, leaving Tribal Council, I knew immediately it was them because I hadn't worked with them all game, and it made sense to me that they voted for me instead of Alison. I wish I had thought about it earlier than that Tribal.

I started noticing it at that Tribal, but yeah, I wish I had thought about it earlier and talked to them and made sure that they were doing what I thought they were doing -- instead of voting for me!

Reality TV World: You obviously would've succeeded in taking Christian out if it wasn't for the fact he played his idol. So while most people would probably presume you regret turning on him -- or maybe just turning on him so early -- do you really regret it?

Gabby Pascuzzi: I don't regret it. I think it would be so easy for me to sit here and second guess, "Did I make the move too soon?" But I have to remind myself that I made that decision based on the information that I had in the game at that time.

Who knows if I would've waited another vote if that would've been too late! Maybe Christian wins immunity or maybe Christian wins a bunch of immunities! You don't know what's going to happen.

Part of the reason I did it so early was because I didn't think he would play his idol that early. I knew he would be itching to play his idol around Final 7 or 6 or 5, so I thought, "Well, let me just do it one vote earlier so he doesn't see it coming."

Little did I know that he would have people tipping him off! That part kind of stung because I knew it had to be a complete blindside on him for it to work, so it was kind of a bummer that that didn't work.

Reality TV World: Yeah, I was going to ask you for your reaction on Davie Rickenbacker spilling the beans to Christian about your plan. Did you feel really betrayed by Davie? And do you think that was a bad move for Davie's own personal game -- because Davie didn't seem to think so.

Gabby Pascuzzi: I know! I heard Davie's confessional and I understood he wanted to keep other big threats around, but it was a little frustrating, because for me, there were only four more votes left until the Final 4 fire-making challenge.

And so, I mean, how many chances do you get to take these threats out?

And so, as much as I try to be empathetic of people's standing in the game and each person's own personal motivation, it was a little frustrating that nobody could see that the logic behind taking Christian out was sound. And it's frustrating to see your plan spoiled because someone had ulterior motives.

Reality TV World: So just to clarify, it appeared Christian never confronted you about what Davie had told him, even though Christian didn't believe Davie at first that you'd betray him. Is that accurate?

Gabby Pascuzzi: That's right. That's right! So, yeah! Christian never confronted me. I mean, that's probably because he thought it was true and how can you work with your ally after you think they are going to blindside you?

It's an interesting thought, right? What if he would've told me that he heard I was gunning for him and then I knew I couldn't trust the people that I thought I could to do the blindside on him? Could I have turned that around?!

There are so many crazy things I've thought of in the months since it happened. But if I've learned one thing, it's that you need to stick to your guns and know that I made a decision in the moment with the information that I had.

Reality TV World: Was Christian at least acting paranoid around you? You said it was important to make him feel safe so he wouldn't play his idol, but after he spoke with Davie, did you sense a shift in his behavior or attitude towards you?

Gabby Pascuzzi: No, this was the funniest part, is that Christian and I were buddies. We were so close, and we had so many conversations after that point where I already knew I was blindsiding him and I think it must be -- if I look back on it -- I think he must have known I was gunning for him! (Laughs)

And we were having conversations about, like, the dumbest stuff. We just went about our normal lives chit-chatting, both lying to each other basically, which is just hilarious if you think about it.

Reality TV World: When it became time for Christian to decide whether to play his idol, he hesitated and looked at each of the Davids individually. No one seemed to give him much of a reaction. Do you think that's what influenced him to play it? Maybe if you urged him to play the idol, he wouldn't have because he'd feel safe?

Gabby Pascuzzi: Right! Ugh, I thought about so many things I could have said in that moment! I thought about, what if I said, "Play it on me, I feel like I'm in danger," or anything. But now, watching the episode, I think he was going to play it no matter what.

I think once you hear you're name is out there and you hear I'm turning on you, you're going to play it. So I think it may have been a little bit of an act when he was looking around. But let me tell you, in the moment, it was startling! It was terrifying!

I was like, "Oh my gosh, keep a straight face. Keep a straight face." But I think it was a little bit of showmanship.
