Although he is only 15-years-old, Gabe's voice boasts maturity way beyond his years.

"I definitely think my age is both an advantage and a disadvantage, because I feel like I could appeal to some younger audiences," Gabe told Reality TV World on Tuesday.

"But also, a lot of the older people in the competition have many, many years of experience on me."

On Monday night's episode of The Voice, Gabe won his Battle against Christian Fermin, 20, after performing "The Reason," a song selected for them by their team's coach Blake Shelton.

"My strategy going into the Battle was just to prepare the best that I could... just prepare, prepare, prepare, and just show more emotion and get into my performance as much as I could," Gabe explained.

"[I wanted] to show the coaches what I was feeling in that moment."

Blake told Gabe that his performance felt "real and personal," appreciating how the young artist tends to get lost in the moment when singing.

Christian might've hit some high notes and showed off a few tricks, but it was Gabe whom Blake wanted on his team going into the "Knockout Round," which begins next week.

"Me and Christian, we had such a good relationship. I mean, he's an awesome guy and an awesome singer," Gabe said. "We were just the best of friends while we were over there, you know? And it was just so close."

The final part of The Voice's "Battle Round" airs Tuesday night at 8PM ET/PT on NBC.
