Gia Allemand's mother Donna Micheletti shoots down comments made by daughter's alleged "friends"

Gia Allemand's mom Donna Micheletti is speaking out about the former The Bachelor and Bachelor Pad contestant's death.


Micheletti is refuting all theories surrounding Allemand's death that have come from anyone other than family members or Allemand's legitimate close friends, who have apparently remained silent since the tragedy occurred.

"The family and close friends of Gia Allemand have not spoken to the media to date, nor have they posted comments or insight on Twitter. There are numerous statements and theories in the media regarding Gia's death and her life that refer to sources close to Gia or friends of hers," Micheletti said in a media statement released Friday through publicist Penelope Jean Hayes.

"As her mother, I am well aware of Gia's close friends and her best friends, and I am personally going on record to refute all statements to the media out there thus far with the exception of official statements we have released through publicist Penelope Jean Hayes, and those jointly with Ryan Anderson's NBA team representation."

Micheletti went on to name one woman in particular who seems to allegedly be cashing in on Allemand's apparent suicide by publicly disclosing details about their "best friendship" when Allemand's family has firmly requested complete privacy since the reality TV star's passing.


"Gia liked everyone and always found the good in people, however there were acquaintances that she had disassociated with whom are now speaking as her close friends. I don't like to give further publicity by mentioning names here, however there is a particular individual, Loredana Ferriolo, identifying herself as Gia's best friend and the fact is that Gia expressed directly to me that she did not trust this individual and her motives for her own public exposure," Micheletti continued in the statement.

"After the funeral, I do intend to speak about my dear daughter's life and death, and will do so in an open disclosure way with a trusted media source. Thank you for all those truly concerned and God bless. Funeral arrangements will be forthcoming in another official statement once confirmed."

Ferriolo, a former Playboy model and Tiger Woods mistress, revealed intimate details about her "best friend" Allemand during a Thursday interview with The New York Daily News.

While Ferriolo attempted to set the record straight by insisting Allemand did not take drugs nor was she tormented by a troubled relationship with boyfriend Ryan Anderson, she also discussed a conversation she had with Allemand the night before she hung herself in her New Orleans home. Ferriolo told the newspaper Allemand "sounded stuffy" as if she had been crying and went on to say she was shocked by Allemand's death because "everything was fine" in days prior.

In addition, one Allemand "friend" told The New York Post this week the former reality TV contestant "fell victim to her own perfection" and was "having problems" with Anderson, while another "friend" told the newspaper everyone thought Allemand's medical emergency was drug-related when they first heard the news of a serious medical event. In her statement, Micheletti could also be referring to the following unflattering comments from others who have claimed to be close to Allemand:


"I could tell there was some insecurity going. I was not 100 percent surprised. Nothing surprises me anymore," fifth-season The Bachelorette suitor Reid Rosenthal, who was friends with Allemand, told Fox News. "I don't know what she needed out of life. It's sad. The last I heard we were supposed to be at an event this Thursday together."

Jesse Csincsak, who received DeAnna Pappas' final rose on The Bachelorette's fourth edition, added Allemand "got a full facial rebuild before she went on the show. She had demons. I don't [know] where that comes from."

The "beautiful" Allemand was also allegedly "lost" and always "looking for attention from guys," TV host Brian McFayden told Fox News, explaining how they had attended several of the same reality TV events.

Anderson found Allemand hanging and unconscious in their home on Monday night.

When Anderson discovered Allemand, he immediately contacted 911 and she was taken to University Hospital in New Orleans.  After remaining in critical condition and on life support, Allemand passed away on Wednesday when her life support was withdrawn due to the fact she had "a critical loss of brain and organ function," according to a previous family statement released by Allemand's representative.


Allemand competed on The Bachelor's fourteenth season, which aired in 2010 and starred Jake Pavelka.

Allemand was one of the last three The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love bachelorettes in the running to receive Pavelka's final rose, however he eliminated her in favor of Tenley Molzahn and Vienna Girardi at the season's penultimate Rose Ceremony.

Afterward, Allemand returned to compete on the first and second seasons of the reality dating show's Bachelor Pad spinoff, which aired in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
