Gordon Ramsay may want to stick to the safe confines of a kitchen.

"I thought I was a goner. They say cats have nine lives. I've had 12 already and I don't know how many more I'll have," Ramsay told The Sun.
"I remember thinking, 'Oh f**k.' My boots and my waterproofs were dragging me down. I'm an extremely good swimmer, but I couldn't get to the surface. I was panicking and my lungs were filling with water."
Once he surfaced, Ramsay was pulled to safety by the production crew via a rope.
"When I got to the top after getting my boots off I was dazed and my head was totally numb," Ramsay told The Sun.
The 41-year-old chef was treated at his hotel for a bloody gash on his leg and was subsequently taken to London's Cromwell Hospital.
Ramsay said a puffin bit his nose while he was hunting it, which might have played a role in him losing his balance and at the very least left him in need of three stitches.
"They put make-up on my nose and Jesus Christ it looks bad," he told The Sun. "I keep saying one of my kids punched me. I'm too embarrassed to say it was a puffin."
Ramsay said he was initially hesitant to tell his wife Tana about what transpired during his puffin-hunting adventure.
"I didn't tell her at first. I chickened out but she knew something was up," he told The Sun.
"She was upset and extremely p****d off. When I was underwater all I could think of was Tana and my kids. It wasn't until I was on the plane home I realized what a close call I'd had."
