Project Runway's return to New York City will apparently be short lived.

While Project Runway's first five editions filmed in New York City, last year's sixth season -- the first to air on Lifetime following the network's acquisition of the show -- was shot in Los Angeles to accommodate Klum's schedule.
Project Runway purists weren't the only ones unhappy about the move, as fashion guru Tim Gunn stated he was "panicky" about it before the season premiered.
Project Runway's seventh season -- which premiered Thursday night -- returned to New York, which made judge Michael Kors happy.
"When you think about it, the walks from Parsons to Mood, you could have 500 inspirations within a minute," he told Access Hollywood. "The bar is raised. I think the energy level is full-tilt boogie. It's New York. Nothing stops here."
Not surprisingly, Gunn agreed.
"I'm thrilled," he told Access Hollywood. "This is my home. I'm happy I can sleep in my own bed."
For what it's worth, Klum had also claimed to be happy to be back in the Big Apple -- especially since her family gets to come with her.
"We kind of all move to New York. It's fun. We all have this big hotel room. The children love New York," she told Access Hollywood. "New York is exciting!"
