Heidi Montag's father, Bill Montag, was arrested Thursday in Aspen on suspicion of sexual abuse and incest with a 13-year-old girl over the course of years.

Under the statute of limitations, though, Montag can only be charged for any crimes that allegedly took place after July 1, 1996, when the girl was 16 years old.
The alleged victim said she came forward to protect any other girls from being abused.
Montag works as a ski instructor. He was being held at Pitkin County, Colo., jail.
His daughter, Heidi Montag, appeared on reality television shows "The Hills" and "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County." Heidi's sister, Holly Montag, also appeared on "The Hills."There's no indication in the arrest affidavit that Heidi or Holly were abused by their father.
