"I can't do it! None of you deserve to go home," Hell's Kitchen star Gordon Ramsay said.
Ramsay made his decision came after the competition's four remaining contestants -- Autumn Lewis, Benjamin "Ben" Knack, Jay Santos, and Holli Ugalde -- delivered the season's best dinner service.
"Well done, very good. [That was] the best dinner service so far," Ramsay told the finalists after they had successfully served all of the evening's diners.
"We had some issues and some problems but we bounced back. [But] here's the bad news -- I'm not looking for four chefs, I'm looking for one. Jay, you took control and you led, now don't stop doing that. Go upstairs and then decide on the two nominees that you think are no longer good enough to stay in Hell's Kitchen."

However Ramsay decided not to eliminate anyone after the contestants deliberated and Jay, a 32-year-old executive chef from Melrose, MA, revealed he had decided to nominate Autumn and Ben and spare Holli -- a 24-year-old banquet chef from San Bernardino, CA he has flirted with throughout Hell's Kitchen's season.
"My decision is Autumn," Ramsay teased before he told the 29-year-old personal chef who currently resides in North Hollywood, CA to "get yourself back in line."
"Benjamin, it's going to be really hard for me to say this to you... take yourself back in line," he then also teased the 33-year-old culinary instructor who currently resides in Malden, MA.
Ramsay then further surprised the contestants with brief visits with their families but later warned he hadn't suddenly gone soft.
"I'm going to push the boundaries out even farther, I'm going to turn it up another notch. Is that clear?" he said.

"Yes, Chef," the foursome replied.
Afterward, Ramsay explained the meaning of his warning in a voice-over that concluded the episode.
"I decided to let all the chefs enjoy tonight's successful dinner service, but what they don't know is after the next dinner service I'll be cutting the field in half," he said.
Hell's Kitchen's next seventh-season episode will air Tuesday, August 3 at 8PM ET/PT.
