The Girls Next Door star Holly Madison and her partner Dmitry Chaplin and Apple Computer co-founder Steve Wozniak and his partner Karina Smirnoff were revealed to be the third and fourth couples eliminated from Dancing with the Stars' eighth season during last night's special live double-elimination results show broadcast on ABC.

The couples were eliminated from the competition based on a combination of the judges' scores from Monday night's performance episode and home viewer votes cast immediately following the broadcast.  Unlike Dancing with the Stars' first two eighth-season results shows, Tuesday night's results show did not feature a "Dance Off" competition.

In addition to the eliminations of Madison and Chaplin and Wozniak and Smirnoff, the results show also revealed Jackass star Stephen "Steve-O" Glover and partner Lacey Schwimmer were the third members of the week's bottom three couples.

"It was a lot physically harder than I than I thought it was going to be but it was so much fun and I'm so glad I got a chance," Madison said after Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron revealed her elimination.  "And I still love the costumes, it's still my favorite part!"

"I gave it a good try. I do have to say I saw [Holly and Dmitry] dance yesterday in the dress rehearsal -- not on the air -- and it actually made me cry.  They were so much together and in step and you know, I just have to say that," Wozniak said after his elimination was revealed.  "This is a great show -- it's a great process, a great system, great voting system even -- and the right thing happens."

Dancing with the Stars' judges -- Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli -- had given Madison and Chaplin 16 out of 30 points for their Monday night performance of an Argentine tango.  The score had left them in ninth place -- ahead of only Glover and Schwimmer and Wozniak and Smirnoff -- on the night's final judges' leaderboard.

"[It was] a bad start and it kept getting worse," Tonioli had told Madison after her performance on Monday night's performance show.  "It happens... once you start badly your confidence goes and you can never quite catch up... there's a lot of work to do."

However Inaba and Goodman had been a bit more sympathetic to Madison's performance.

"You know you fell off the stool in the beginning and I know that's so difficult but you did hang in there and I give you a lot of credit because that is very difficult to do," Inaba said.  "I can see that you're in pain... but like I've said -- I've said it over and over again --  I don't feel like you're building strength."

"Holly, what happened to you is you got [it] a little bit wrong at the start and then you're thinking 'I wish I could dance it over' and so you're in a negative attitude.  I think there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I can sort of see an improvement coming on... but well done, good effort."

Wozniak and Smirnoff had also performed an Argentine tango during Monday night's performance show.  However unlike Madison, the judges had unanimously panned Wozniak's dancing and given the couple only 12 out of 30 points for the performance, which had placed them in last place on the night's final judges' leaderboard.

"Steve, I love what you represent... and I don't mean to be cruel, but there just wasn't much going on," Inaba had said after Wozniak and Smirnoff's Monday night performance.  "I'm sorry, I'm trying to find something positive to say and I'm still searching... [but] I still think you're adorable."

"Well done, for coming out and attempting a proper tango," Goodman had added.  "I admire you and I admire your spirit and there is an improvement from last week. However improvement is relative and last week was so terrible that almost anything that happened would [have been] an improvement."

"Steve, first let me say that we love you," Tonioli had told Wozniak after the performance.  "We all know the tango originated in the gutters of Buenos Aires.  But the only right thing you picked out from them [was] the stench because this really stuck."

Sex and the City actor Gilles Marini and professional partner Cheryl Burke had ended Monday night's performance show atop the judges' leaderboard for a third straight week with a perfect score of 30 out of 30 possible points.

They were followed by recently jilted The Bachelor bachelorette -- and last-minute replacement dancer -- Melissa Rycroft and her partner Tony Dovolani, who had finished just behind them with 29 out of 30 points. Rapper Kimberly Denise "Lil Kim" Jones and partner Derek Hough had finished in third place with 27 out of 30 points.

Olympic gold medalist gymnast Shawn Johnson and partner Mark Ballas and champion bull rider Ty Murray and partner Chelsie Hightower had both finished tied for fourth place with 25 out of 30 points.

Country singer Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough, his partner and real-life girlfriend, had finished tied for sixth place with actor David Alan Grier and partner Kym Johnson. Both couples received 22 out of 30 points from the judges.

Former NFL superstar Lawrence Taylor and partner Edyta Sliwinska had finished in eighth place with 19 out of 30 points.  They'd been followed by Madison and Chaplin with 16 out of 30 points, Glover and Schwimmer with 15 out of 30 points, and Wozniak and Smirnoff with 12 out of 30 points.
