The embarrassing failure of the ABC series Are You Hot? left another aftershock this week, when NYC radio "shock-jock" Howard Stern, who publicly sued ABC and the producers of the show for ripping off his "The Evaluators" bit, quietly settled his lawsuit. The Smoking Gun reports that Stern's attorneys filed a request on Tuesday to dismiss the suit, which alleged unfair buisness practices and other claims against the defendents.

Such requests for dismissal are standard procedure after a negotiated settlement to a lawsuit; however, settlement terms are not public records, and so the final outcome of this suit may never be known. After watching Are You Hot?, however, we think that everyone should, at the very least, have to promise to never, never, NEVER bring it back in any form before the judge agrees to end the suit....
