NBC has announced it's renewed I Can Do That, a new variety series that aired on Tuesday nights, for a second season.
"This series thrust our celebrities out of their comfort zones and into exciting, unpredictable situations and they rose to the occasion each week," NBC reality chief Paul Telegdy said in a statement. "We are thrilled to bring new challenges and up the ante for season two."
On the debut season of I Can Do That, six competing celebrities had to prove they could learn and master brand new skills.
After intensive training with a person or act for a week, the celebrities had to showcase talents they didn't even know they had by putting on a big performance. In a friendly rivalry -- without judges or eliminations -- the contestants tried to earn bragging rights as they tackled a new challenge each episode and vied for the audience's votes.

Season 1 starred Cheryl Burke, Nicole Scherzinger, Ciara, Jeff Dye, Joe Jonas, and Alan Ritchson. Some acts who appeared on the show and worked with the celebrities were The Blue Man Group, Snoop Dogg and The Harlem Globetrotters. Scherzinger ended up walking away with the trophy.
NBC has ordered eight new episodes of I Can Do That, which is produced by Universal Television, for the second season.
