Ivan began The Bachelorette process by getting to know Clare Crawley, but once Clare and Dale Moss got engaged, Tayshia stepped into the leading role and Ivan couldn't have been more thrilled.
Ivan told the cameras he was "more ready" than ever to fall in love, and he immediately picked up on Tayshia's positive energy and confidence at first sight.
Ivan told Tayshia that she was "more [his] speed" than Clare and he was really looking forward to getting to know her better and hopefully discovering she could be The One for him.
Ivan hasn't received much screentime, but that is sure to change in the near future.

Prior to his current role, Ivan was a systems engineer at Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin.

The Bachelorette host Chris Harrison gushed about Ivan as a person when announcing The Bachelorette's sixteenth-season cast on Facebook this past summer."Ivan is a real dumb guy... Obviously joking. Ivan is a really smart guy -- quiet, soft-spoken, extremely likeable," Chris said.
"His nickname is 'Sweet Ivan,' come on! But do the nice guys ever finish first? Sometimes. Sometimes they do!"
