Jared Haibon recently proposed to his best friend Ashley Iaconetti after three years of ups and downs together, and the former Bachelor in Paradise star couldn't be more thrilled.

Shortly after news of the engagement broke, Jared posted a silly close-up photo of his fiancee's face and captioned it, "She's Ashley I in this picture. But to me she's the future Ashley H."

Jared, 29, is therefore suggesting Ashley will take his last name despite her being called "Ashley I" during all four of her appearances on The Bachelor franchise.
Ashley found love at first sight with Jared on Bachelor in Paradise 2, but Jared slowly developed feelings for her over time while keeping her in the friend-zone.
Due to their confusing relationship -- which included arguments over dating other people -- fans were shocked when Ashley and Jared confirmed in May they had been romantically involved since March.
"Love works in mysterious ways," Jared captioned a photo from the proposal on Instagram.
Ashley found fame when she competed on Season 19 of The Bachelor starring Chris Soules, while Jared joined Bachelor Nation when he fought to win Kaitlyn Bristowe's heart on The Bachelorette's eleventh season.

After Bachelor in Paradise 2, both Ashley and Jared returned to Mexico for Season 3 in 2016. During that season, Ashley cried for days as she watched Jared pursue the lovely Caila Quinn.
At the time, Ashley felt extremely hurt because she claimed Jared had led her on before the show by kissing her and taking her on a couple of dates.
Ashley most recently appeared on The Bachelor Winter Games, which taped in late 2017. She met and began dating Canadian firefighter Kevin Wendt on the series.

Jared has said that seeing Ashley with another guy was the "kick in the ass" he needed to realize Ashley was the girl for him.

Once Ashley and Kevin called it quits on their relationship in March, Jared allegedly began wooing Ashley right away with flowers and love letters.
