Jared Haibon has admitted he never would have appeared on Bachelor in Paradise 3 had he known ahead of time Ashley Iaconetti would also be participating.

Haibon, 27, told the HuffPost's "Here to Make Friends" podcast he'd anticipate trouble in Paradise with Iaconetti because she had been head-over-heels in love with him for over a year.

"If I had any idea that Ashley was coming into Paradise, even if it was a small percentage, to either be with me or get over me, I would never have gone to Paradise," Haibon said. "So I think that was one of the things I was most frustrated by."

Haibon's experience on the show this summer was tough because Iaconetti wouldn't leave him alone when he was trying to date Caila Quinn, whom he was crazy about.

Quinn, 24, and Iaconetti were also feuding because apparently Quinn had promised her friend she'd never be interested in pursuing Haibon. Iaconetti called Quinn a "backstabbing whore of a friend" and made her feel very uncomfortable to show Haibon public affection.

"While I was in Paradise I had a lot of frustrations toward the things Ashley said and did, and discussed her approach and her unwillingness to try to move past myself until [Wells Adams] came..." Haibon explained.

"It was a very troubling time for a while between Ashley and myself. We had a lot of very difficult, long and hard conversations, but we talked through everything and I'm still friends with [her]."

Haibon and Iaconetti, 28, met during Season 2 of BiP last year. Iaconetti fell hard for Haibon despite his hesitation and ultimate desire to just be friends. The dynamic changed, however, when the couple kissed after filming wrapped and Iaconetti claimed he led her on a little bit.

When appearing on this summer's edition of Paradise, Iaconetti told the cameras she was hoping to spark another romance with Haibon or hopefully move on and get over him.

Iaconetti's relationship with Adams didn't work out, and although Haibon left Paradise with Quinn to date her in the real world, the pair split about six weeks later.

Quinn made a catty comment on After Paradise that when Haibon's friend calls -- referring to Iaconetti -- he "always answers," adding that the friend calls a lot. It seemed like, once again, Iaconetti got in their way.

"Caila and myself are still friends. Once we left the show, I think there was just so much that happened in Paradise that it was very difficult to move past," Haibon explained in the podcast.

"Even after the show, I think we had a lot of difficult times. There were some nights where it was causing us so much stress to be together in terms of the conversations we had to have, that we didn't have a strong enough foundation to kind of hold all the weight that was coming down upon us. And that's what happened."

Haibon first competed on The Bachelorette for Kaitlyn Bristowe's heart, while Iaconetti stepped onto the scene for Chris Soules' The Bachelor edition. Quinn was eliminated by Ben Higgins on The Bachelor earlier this year after her overnight Fantasy Suite date.

Quinn was supposed to star as the Bachelorette on Season 12 but reportedly got dropped last minute for JoJo Fletcher
