Singer/actress Jessica Simpson is being sued for $100 million in New York by a jeans maker that claims she snubbed its low-price product.

The breach of contract suit filed by the Tarrant Apparel Group says Simpson signed a 3-year deal in 2004 to promote and wear its JS by Jessica Simpson and Princy clothing lines, then "simply failed to provide the promised support," The Smoking Gun reports on its Web site.

The suit also charges Simpson was quoted in the media last year saying her favorite jeans were the $350 True Religion brand and she never mentioned the $60 Princy jeans, which bear the nickname her father gave her, The Smoking Gun said.

Tarrant says it has paid $2.2 million in licensing fees and is still liable for $6 million in additional guaranteed payments.
