Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer and Courteney Cox are remembering their friend and former Friends co-star Matthew Perry.
Aniston and Schwimmer played Rachel Green and Ross Gellar on Friends, while Cox and Perry portrayed love interests Monica Gellar and Chandler Bing. Friends had a 10-season run on NBC from 1994 to 2004.
Perry died Oct. 28 at age 54 after being found unresponsive in the hot tub at his home. The actor's autopsy was completed but his cause of death was deferred pending toxicology reports.
In her post Wednesday, Aniston reflected on her grief and deep love for Perry.
"Oh boy this one has cut deep... Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I've never experienced before," she wrote. "We all experience loss at some point in our lives. Loss of life or loss of love. Being able to really SIT in this grief allows you to feel the moments of joy and gratitude for having loved someone that deep. And we loved him deeply. He was such a part of our DNA."Aniston said she, Perry, Schwimmer, Cox and fellow Friends stars Matthew LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow became a "chosen family that forever changed the course of who were were and what our path was going to be."
The actress remembered Perry as someone who lived to make other people laugh.
Aniston ended her post by voicing her love for Perry.
"Matty, I love you so much and I know you are now completely at peace and out of any pain. I talk to you every day... sometimes I can almost hear you saying 'could you BE any crazier?'" she said. "Rest little brother. You always made my day..."
Schwimmer began his post Wednesday by thanking Perry for "ten incredible years of laughter and creativity."
"I will never forget your incredible comic timing and delivery. You could take a straight line of dialogue and bend it to your will, resulting in something so entirely original and unexpectedly funny it still astonishes," the actor wrote. "And you had heart. Which you were generous with, and shared with us, so we could create a family out of six strangers."
Schwimmer shared a photo of himself and Perry on the set of Friends and remembered the scene as one of his "favorite moments" with Perry.
In a post Tuesday, Cox honored Perry and recalled one of her favorite scenes with the actor from Friends.
"I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day," the star wrote. "When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here's one of my favorites."
"To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience's reaction, it became the beginning of their love story," she shared. "In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind."
Fellow Friends star Matt LeBlanc also honored Perry in a post Tuesday, calling the actor a friend and brother.
The Friends cast previously issued a group statement about Perry, saying they are grieving an "unfathomable loss."
