Jenny McCarthy said she and fiance Donnie Wahlberg found success in their relationship by trusting "the process of dating."
She said the relationship worked out even though in her book, "Stirring the Pot: My Recipe for Getting What You Want Out of Life," she said it takes a lot for a man to have success with dating her.
"We both trusted the process of dating and we didn't let stories take over," she told E! Online.
"I think a lot of times we get caught up in the fantasy of who we think somebody is, and instead we trusted getting to know who each other are for real. So we paid attention to each other, we didn't make up things and Google each other. We just kind of trusted the spirit and still enjoyed the abs at the same time," she added.
McCarthy said she sometimes finds herself forgetting she's engaged."It's still very new and shocking and exciting and I feel really lucky. I feel just blessed," she said.
