Jeremy Simon has revealed if he felt ready to propose marriage to Jenn Tran by the time his hometown date on The Bachelorette rolled around.

Given Jeremy was about a week away from a potential engagement at the time he introduced Jenn to his family in Connecticut, "Bachelor Happy Hour" co-host Joe Amabile asked Jeremy if he was "there yet" with Jenn.

"Umm, at that point, I'm not ready for an engagement," Jeremy admitted during the podcast's August 16 episode.

"I'm just being honest," added the 29-year-old real estate investor who currently lives in New York.

Jeremy, however, acknowledged that "things can develop" very "quickly" in The Bachelorette environment.

"Because at the beginning, people were saying, 'Oh, I feel a connection with her,' within five minutes of meeting the girl," Jeremy complained. "And I was like, 'No, you can't. You're lying.'"

Jeremy noted that his relationship with Jenn was "always progressing" on the show.

"It's a crush and then you start to like her, and then it's like, 'Oh, I really like this person,'" Jeremy explained to Joe and his podcast co-host Serena Pitt.

"And just because I had my one-one-one and my hometown [date] within, like, a week of each other, I knew the possibility of where it could go. And I really was starting to fall for her."

But Jeremy reiterated, "I was not ready for an engagement at that point."

Jeremy said he had two long-term relationships before Jenn, the latest of which ended three years ago.

"That was the last time anyone met my mom," Jeremy confirmed.

Jeremy is one of Jenn's Final 4 bachelors along with Devin Strader, Jonathon Johnson, and Marcus Shoberg.

Jenn has called Jeremy the "funniest" guy in her cast, and she shared on The Bachelorette how they had a natural and effortless connection in which she could be her true self.

Jeremy said he "was confident the whole time" in what he had with Jenn but he realized their relationship had real potential at the first cocktail party.

"One of the most pivotal points was at the cocktail party in Auckland. It wasn't a deep conversation, but we were nonstop laughing the entire time," Jeremy recalled.

"We were playing some games and she got me a bracelet, a little gift. It was such a fun and funny conversation, and at that point, I was like, 'This is great. I have so much fun with this girl. I like her.'"

Jeremy said while he wasn't "trauma dumping" on Jenn at that point, they were able to establish a genuine connection through flirtatious behavior and silly banter.

Jenn told The Bachelorette cameras that Jeremy always made her feel "thought of," and she added of the handsome bachelor, "He gets me without me even having to say anything sometimes."

The pair had their first solo date at the Pike Place Market in Seattle, WA, right before hometowns, and Jeremy admitted that he felt pressure because Jenn's relationships with the other guys were further along.

But a deep conversation about religion deepened the pair's bond, and Jenn told The Bachelorette cameras, "What we have is exactly what I've been looking for."

The Bachelorette is now heading into its next episode on Monday, August 19, and based on a preview of what's to come, Jeremy isn't the only bachelor who's not ready to pop the question at this stage in the game.

Jonathon appears to doubt Jenn's authenticity by asking a loved one, "Is this just what she wants me to see or is this who she really is?"

And Jenn seems to butt heads with Jeremy's beloved Jewish mother.

Jeremy's mother admits to Jenn, "You think you and Jeremy have a bond, but this is not a game. It's your future!"

Jenn, in turn, flashes Jeremy's mother a dirty look.

Marcus, meanwhile, admits he's "not there yet" with Jenn and he's struggling to work his way up from "like" to "love" in the feelings department.

"There's this feeling of shame... Going into this Rose Ceremony, Jenn deserves to have guys here that are certain," Marcus tells The Bachelorette cameras.
