Jessa Seewald, who is preparing to be a first-time mom, is apparently in great spirits despite a summer of controversy surrounding her brother Josh Duggar.

A source close to the former 19 Kids & Counting star said, "Some people may have thought Jessa was wounded by the negative headlines, so it's exciting to be able to show people that she is happier than ever and holding her head high," People reported.
Josh, who is currently undergoing treatment in rehab, confessed to cheating on his wife Anna Duggar -- the mother of his four children -- after he was linked to accounts on the extramarital affair website Ashley Madison. The scandal came just three months after he admitted to molesting five girls, including sisters Jill Dillard and Jessa, when he was a teenager. TLC therefore canceled 19 Kids & Counting in July.
Meanwhile, Jessa has just been focusing on herself and her family. She's expecting her first child with husband Ben Seewald in November.
"Jessa is truly feeling so happy, healthy and centered," the source told People. "This is really one of the best times of her life. Her love for Ben is really something to see. They adore each other, and it's clear that they're soul mates. He treats her like a true queen."

Jessa and Jill will soon be starring in their own specials for TLC, with the first expected to air by the end of this year.
"If there is any silver lining to the scandals, it's that it only reinforced the strength Jessa has in her marriage, her family and, most of all, her faith," explained the source.
TLC executive Nancy Daniels told the Associated Press in a statement last week that Jill and Jessa are "at the precipice of big changes" and it's the perfect time to film their lives as they "move into young adulthood."
A Duggar family insider recently told Entertainment Tonight that Josh will have nothing to do with the specials -- as he won't be seen or even mentioned.
"It may be an elephant in the room if they don't mention it, but this [is] about Jessa and Jill," the insider noted.
