Fox's American Idol voted out the third of its twelve finalists during last night's results show, with Jessica Sierra, a 19-year-old from Tampa, FL, being eliminated from the reality talent competition as a result of receiving the fewest audience votes.

With her departure, Jessica becomes the third-straight female finalist to be eliminated, following in the footsteps of previous American Idol 4 finalists Lindsey Cardinale (Week 1), and Mikalah Gordon (Week 2).
Next week will see another of Idol's finalists eliminated, with the nine remaining contestants once again taking the stage during Tuesday's 8-9PM ET/PT performance show and later learning their fate during Wednesday's 9:00-9:30PM ET/PT live results show. Also appearing on Wednesday's live results show will be American Idol 3 winner Fantasia Barrino, who will return to the stage to perform a song from "Free Yourself," her debut album that was released last summer.
