The Golden Bachelorette star Joan Vassos has admitted she thought Charles "Chock" Chapple was probably "The One" during her very first one-on-one date of the season.

While The Golden Bachelorette viewers have yet to find out whom Joan picked as her winner and how her season ended, Joan shared during a recent appearance on the "Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe" podcast how she had a strong feeling about Chock from the very beginning.

"I did have a really quick connection with Chock. We had a really great one-on-one date in Disneyland was so good," Joan told former The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe.
"Our rapport was just so easy, and it was kind of what you want! You are looking for that, and if it's hard, you're thinking, 'Maybe it's not right.'"

Joan added of the 60-year-old insurance executive from Kansas, "I kind of thought, 'He's probably the one!'"
Joan, however, said she knew in her heart that she shouldn't settle on choosing Chock too early. Instead, she decided to keep an open mind throughout the process.
"People do that [on the show]," Joan said of a lead lasering in on one person right away.
"Chock was the first one-on-one date that I had, and I was like, 'I can't do this because this happens all the time.' You've got to keep an open heart, and I knew that," Joan explained.
Joan told Kaitlyn that she had watched -- and learned from -- her journey, Season 11 of The Bachelorette, as well as some other seasons.

"I had just seen [Gerry Turner's season], and I had just watched [Charity Lawson]. I also watched some pretty recent seasons to know that you really have to be careful not to invest too early because things happen!" Joan noted.
Joan elaborated, "And then in some seasons, you find out the person you really invested in or thought [was it], was really a different person than [you thought] and they evolve and become kind of a villain or some personality thing doesn't match with you."
Joan also said there are things you can't possibly know about a person while dating only inside The Bachelor bubble.
"You need to stay open, and I was really, really careful about that. Even when I was having feelings for certain people, every date when I sat down with somebody, I was pretending that they were the only person in my life," Joan shared.
Since Joan made an effort to give every man a real chance on The Golden Bachelorette, she admitted the last men standing -- including Final 2 bachelor Guy Gansert -- were able to "catch up" to Chock, which made her final decision "so hard" and emotional.

Chock and Guy are currently Joan's Final 2 bachelors on The Golden Bachelorette after Pascal Ibgui quit before his overnight Fantasy Suite date.
Both Chock and Guy have said they're "falling in love" with Joan and could envision proposing marriage to her.
Chock was so hell bent on winning Joan's heart that he sometimes rubbed the other bachelors the wrong way.
When asked about Chock's intense pursuit of Joan, Pascal threw shade at the bachelor by telling Glamour, "Chock was all over her to the point where he was [like a] stalker."

Pascal apparently couldn't believe that Chock was able to develop such strong feelings for Joan so quickly.
"It's not that easy to say, 'I'm in love,'" Pascal reasoned.
"I mean, it was like, 'I love you, let's leave. Let's do this, let's do that.' And [Chock asked], 'Which side of the bed are you sleeping on?' It's bizarre behavior. I don't know."
Pascal continued to poke fun at Chock by sharing, "[Chock was like], 'I can't wait to be with you. I feel my love with you.' Maybe in Wichita there is no women. I don't know."
Pascal said it was actually "inappropriate" for Chock to ask Joan about her sleeping arrangement in front of other guys -- who were clearly listening to the pair's conversation -- during the bowling group date.
"As he walked in, he said, 'Let's leave here. Let's get out of here.' And then hovering over her during the bowling. I think, to me, everybody felt uncomfortable," Pascal recalled.
"I think [Jordan Heller] said, 'Hey, put the break on,' and [Jonathan Rone] said, 'What are you doing?'"
Pascal concluded, "I mean, Joan is smart enough to understand and figure it out by herself."
Joan reacted to Chock's "aggressive" approach to woo her during a recent appearance on "The Viall Files" podcast.
"Over the years, I do notice about certain The Bachelor series or journeys, is that every once in a while, one guy or one girl pops out that is just more aggressive -- just tries a little harder to have random interactions," Joan told former The Bachelor star Nick Viall.
"You see them every once in a while, that they came there for a reason... and I think it's evident that Chock is one of those people."

Joan said it was probably just a "bonus" for Chock to make friends on the show.
Joan also shared how she felt a connection with Chock right off the bat.
"Every once in a while, one would roll in and I was like, 'Ohh, he's good. I like that one,' or, 'I could see a life with that one. He's good looking and I'm attracted to him,'" Joan recalled. "And Chock was one of those people."
Chock also knew the names of all four of Joan's children when they first met.
"Some people might call that creepy, but some people, like me, thought, 'Wow, he is really interested,'" Joan noted.
The Golden Bachelorette host Jesse Palmer recently told Us Weekly how there was an obvious "chemistry" between Chock and Joan.
"Chock was someone right away, when I was talking to him off camera, [I could tell] he's a man's man and he is an alpha -- that's just kind of how I put it," Jesse shared.
Jesse added how Chock is "a leader of men."
"[He's] someone who's wildly successful professionally and also has a really touching and unique personal story to him as well," Jesse said.
And Joan told Us earlier this month that Chock reminded her of her late husband, John Vassos, who died from pancreatic cancer in 2021. Joan called Chock "a fixer," just like John, who was able to make her feel safe.
