Joelle "JoJo" Fletcher apparently got a love letter and red roses right before Ben Higgins picked her up for her hometown date, but the sweet gifts weren't from The Bachelor star.

"Ben is so cute and so nice. I'm excited to see him and show him what my life is like," Fletcher told the cameras in the video.
Once Fletcher stumbled upon the presents, she said, "Oh my God," and continued gushing about Higgins.
"Ben is so important to me and he is everything that I've been looking for," the 24-year-old real estate developer noted.
Fletcher then sat down on the couch excited to read this sweet letter from Higgins before introducing him to her family, however, the gifts were actually from her ex-boyfriend. Her former flame signed the letter: "Love, Chad, xoxo."
According to multiple reports, Fletcher's ex-boyfriend is named Chad Rookstool, 38, and owns a salon in Dallas.
"Wait, this letter's not from Ben," Fletcher admitted. "It's from my ex."
After digesting the letter's message, Fletcher broke down sobbing into her hands.
"I'm so mad," Fletcher confessed right as Higgins knocked on her door.
Fletcher seemed overwhelmed and nervous when she let Higgins into her house.
"Hey, you alright?" the Bachelor asked, catching on to her strange mood.
"Yeah," Fletcher said, sighing and forcing a smile. "Welcome to Dallas!"

Higgins sensed the sarcasm in Fletcher's voice and then said to the cameras in a confessional, "What is happening?"
"This is supposed to be a happy day, and she looks like she's crying. Something's going on," Higgins added.
The Bachelor's next episode airs Monday night from 8-10PM ET/PT on ABC. In addition to Fletcher, Lauren Bushnell, Caila Quinn and Amanda Stanton are still in the running for his heart.
