According to ABC, John is always looking for his next "thrill," and falling in love with Katie would certainly qualify.
But will John sweep the 30-year-old bank marketing manager from Lynnwood, WA, off her feet?
"I'm ready to find love, and not just, like, the temporary kind. I'm talking forever, my husband, and I'm in a place in my life where I feel like I'm the best version of me," Katie said after being cast as The Bachelorette for its Summer 2021 season.
Katie was eliminated from Matt James' The Bachelor season before hometown dates, but she made a big imprint on the season with her raunchy humor and putting an end to girl-on-girl bullying in the house.
Katie will experience "a whirlwind first evening" during The Bachelorette cocktail party, and fans will find out soon enough whether she chooses to keep John around when she narrows down her suitors to only 23 bachelors by the end of Night 1.
