Johnny Rez, an artist on The Voice coach Adam Levine's team, has revealed whether there was anything Blake Shelton could have said to win him over in the Blind Auditions.

Johnny, a 25-year-old from Miami, FL, has been a big fan of Adam for quite some time now, so it seemed obvious he'd choose the Maroon 5 frontman as his coach as long as he turned around for him.

After Johnny sang "Iris" by the GooGoo Dolls, both Adam and Blake pressed their buttons and turned their big red chairs.

"I'm really not sure exactly what Blake could have said because to be honest, in my mind, I had already decided to go with Adam and I kind of just fell back on that decision that I had already made," Johnny told reporters during a recent conference call.

Johnny's whole audition, however, was apparently a blur.

"When you're in that moment, you step off that stage and at least in my personal case, it was so hard to remember a lot of the dialogue that took place and what had happened," Rez explained.

"It was hard for me to choose between them too going into it, just because I love Blake -- the person that he is and I love country music. But Adam is just a little bit more geared towards what I do."

Blake and Adam gave Johnny a scare when they waited until the very last few seconds of his performance to turn around.

"First of all, when no one was turning around, I was definitely sweating on the inside quite a bit. I didn't know exactly what to expect and I was -- I basically got to the last note of the song and no one had turned yet. And in my mind, I was like, 'Well, I guess this is going to be the outcome of this,'" Johnny said.

"And then all of a sudden, Adam turns and Blake turns right away right after. I don't know, as far as Blake saying something to convince me to go with him, I realized watching it over last night that he turned around and he stood up. And I just kind of -- it's so crazy."

Johnny has an amazing story in that he's been sober for six years after getting mixed up in selling and doing drugs. He developed his talent and passion for music while under house arrest.

The Voice's eleventh-season "Battle Round" kicks off Monday, October 10 at 8PM ET/PT on NBC.
