Kate Gosselin has denied a recent report that she's been a "total diva" while on the Dancing with the Stars' set.

"It's no different than what I've been facing for the last year. I feel like it's unfair. If you meet me -- not the tabloid me, not anything else -- you'll realize that I'm just like moms everywhere working," said Gosselin during a guest co-hosting gig on Wednesday's The View broadcast.

"I've had a great time with the whole cast. So it's untrue, unfounded, ridiculous.  Unfortunately people will read this and believe it. I typically look at it and just laugh because I can't change it."

The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star was responding to a recent New York Post report in which a source claimed she "wants to be queen bee" and "doesn't want anything to do with other contestants."

"I'm 3,000 miles away!" said Gosselin, who has been rehearsing at her family's Wernersville, PA home and not near Dancing with the Stars' set at CBS Television City in Los Angeles.

"I've been out there once -- for the initial thing. I danced for five days there, met everybody, they were wonderful -- and had a great time. It is such a huge honor."

Gosselin has been paired with Tony Dovolani for Dancing with the Stars' tenth season, which premieres March 22.

She said that she's been "dancing everyday" in her basement to get ready for the competition but balances her busy training schedule with her eight children.

"I made a dancing schedule. A lot of times I'm dancing before they're up in the morning and after they're in bed and while they're in school," she said on The View.

"It's a delicate balance of a working mom. I'm grateful to have work, I'm grateful to be able to do this, and if you have to have a job? I mean, really -- being there, being here, being wherever -- it's awesome."

Gosselin said her ex-husband Jon Gosselin even lent a helping hand when she was first announced as a cast member.

"He was at our house for a week during the time I was in L.A.," she said. "He's there when he's there."
