Kate Gosselin is apparently unsure if her marriage can survive recent infidelity allegations surrounding her husband Jon.

"I don't know that we're in the same place anymore, that we want the same thing," she told People in a cover story interview in the magazine's current issue.

"I've been struggling with the question of 'Who is this [Deanna Hummel] person?' for a while. I remember where I was the first time I heard her name. It's one of those things where you can try to make it go away, but there's blaring, red flashing lights."

The Jon & Kate Plus 8 matriarch said she and Jon have been "privately struggling" for months, according to People, but she added their marriage isn't over just yet.

"I will never give up hope that every member of our family can be absolutely happy again," she told People.

The scenario Kate is currently struggling with came to light earlier thin month when Us Weekly published a cover story report that alleged Jon was having an affair with Hummel, a 23-year-old schoolteacher.

Both Jon and Hummel have denied the allegations, however Hummel's brother Jason subsequently told the magazine its earlier report was correct and he could confirm the pair have been having an affair for the past few months.

In addition, Kate has also faced allegations about her own extramarital activities -- as earlier this week she preemptively denied an upcoming report that she is romantically involved with family bodyguard Steve Neild.

While Jon & Kate Plus 8's fifth season is currently slated to debut May 25, producers are reportedly still haggling with how to address Jon's alleged affair with Deanna and the media fallout that has followed without "exploiting" the situation.

"You can't imagine yourself in a certain position when all this first happens, but you can do it over some months," Kate told People.

"It's a lot like when I was first pregnant with the babies, and it was pure shock and denial. But over time I imagined six cribs in my house, and six car seats. When your mind is ready to go there, you can accept any number of scenarios."
