Jon Gosselin has confirmed he is working as a waiter at a restaurant in his home state of Pennsylvania.

"[It's] next to nearly impossible to find work," Gosselin told Entertainment Tonight.
Gosselin attributed the issue to his former role on Jon & Kate Plus 8, which rose him to fame but soiled his reputation following a very public cheating scandal and messy divorce from ex-wife Kate Gosselin.
Jon finally owned up to his new job at a pub after denying to the National Enquirer last week that he was waiting tables. He had previously told the magazine he was just volunteering there.
But the former reality TV star -- who now lives in an isolated cabin in the woods compared to the $1.3 million home he shared with his ex-wife and their children -- admitted to ET it was quite the change going from a celebrity to a waiter, so he feared being so open about his new position.

"At first I was nervous because I was like, 'How are people going to react?'" Jon explained. "But then I'm thinking, 'Well it's fun and I get to talk to people.' And they technically already know me. So they're like, 'Oh, are you the guy?' I'm like, 'Yeah, I'm the guy.'"
When Jon was considered a TV star, he had been spotted partying in Las Vegas and accompanying friends on their private yachts. He fully embraced the rich life when he had the opportunity, but he said it wasn't his own money that was being spent.
"I was living the high life because everyone was paying for it, and I had to earn income to pay for my legal fees. I [party] now on a different level. I don't go to Vegas and New York. I went there so I could earn income to pay my attorneys, to protect me in court," he told ET.
Jon also wanted to set the record straight regarding a couple of other rumors -- that he never grossed millions of dollars and he's not currently struggling to make ends meet.
"No, I don't know why people said that [I struggle]. You know why they said it? They said it because I'm waiting tables, which is really disgusting -- to think that because you wait tables or because you do different things or because you don't have an 8-5 job, you're making ends meet?" Jon explained.

"I've hit rock bottom like 20 times and then I've just bounced back. I can go somewhere else."
Despite the drastic highs and lows in his life, Jon apparently wouldn't change any of it.
"I don't regret anything," the 36-year-old father of eight children revealed. "Because you learn from your mistakes. That's what builds you to who you are today."
