Jon Gosselin is opening up about his strained relationship with Kate Gosselin and the former couple's children.
Jon and Kate, star of "Kate Plus 8," share eight children. They divorced in 2009.
"[The situation is] bad right now," Jon said. "Kate tells my kids a lot of stuff, and they tell me. I don't want to get my kids in trouble, but she pretty much alienates me. 'He's a party boy. He does this...'"
Jon is allotted one night per week and every other weekend with his kids, but can only see four at a time and has no control over which ones he sees. He claims to consequently not have seen his son Collin in a year and a half.
"Who I get is who I get," the DJ said. "Whoever comes through that gate or gets off that [school] bus is who I get. And Collin is homeschooled, so he doesn't get off a bus.""If the kids want to come, they come," he added. "I love them all, but I am going to focus on the ones that want to come. My hands are tied."
Jon said on "The Steve Harvey Show" in January that it'd been three years since he'd last seen all eight children at once.
"I'm not privy to any information," the star said. "We don't co-parent. There's no co-parenting. She parents, I parent. I would love to co-parent, but at this point in time, I don't see it happening."
Jon and Kate came to fame on the TLC series "Jon & Kate Plus 8," which documented their life with their twin daughters, Cara and Mady, who were born in 2000, and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Leah, Aaden, Collin, and Joel, who were born in 2004.
Kate and the kids continue to star on the show, which was renamed "Kate Plus 8" after her split from Jon.
