Jonathon is a 27-year-old from Los Angeles, CA, who certainly wasn't shy about cracking jokes and showing off his butt cheeks to The Bachelorette star.

Jonathon was even crowned "Mr. Thunder Down Under" during the infamous striptease group date, but he continued to go deeper with Jenn and shed his layers.

During their one-on-one date in Auckland, New Zealand, Jonathon and Jenn flew into a vineyard, where they played games together, laughed, flirted and kissed. They also got cozy in a hot tub.

Over dinner that evening, Jenn and Jonathon discussed the emotional distress they've experienced in life, and Jonathon explained how he struggles to trust women after going through a challenging relationship in his past.

Jenn Tran had an idea what "engaged life" might look like with Jonathon Johnson

During a recent episode of "The Viall Files" podcast, host Nick Viall asked Jenn to paint a hypothetical picture of what her life would look like if she ended up with Jonathon as her winner.


"An engaged life with Jonathon," Jenn began.

"We'd be living in San Diego. I love San Diego. We'd be playing lacrosse on the weekends, bringing the kids out and teaching them lacrosse. I'd have kids with Jonathon."

Jenn joked about how they'd name their son "Jonathon Jr., perhaps," and they'd call him "JJ" for short.


Jonathon Johnson lived with a woman for two years prior to The Bachelorette

Jonathon was in a very serious relationship before meeting Jenn that ultimately fell apart in one of the worst ways.

"We looked at rings, looked into the future and talked about kids, and then it all kind of turned south. She was going through a really hard time and so she would start to self-medicate and abuse alcohol... and this went on for months," Jonathon said.

Jonathon explained that at one point, things got out of hand and they got into a big fight.

"She would question my character and say that I was abusive, controlling and manipulative for questioning what she was doing. [She used] words that kind of haunt me still to this day," Jonathan admitted.

"It reached a breaking point for her where she just snapped and said, 'Get the f-ck out! I don't want to see you again,'" he continued. "It tore me down... and absolutely destroyed me to my core."

Jonathon said he had grown up being a hopeless romantic and so this toxic relationship really had a negative impact on his outlook on love.
