Jordan Rodgers and NFL star Aaron Rodgers reportedly had a fight that led to Aaron's estrangement from the entire family, but now, Jordan just wants his older brother back.

Jordan, a 28-year-old former pro football player, and Aaron, the 33-year-old Green Bay Packers quarterback, have always had a sibling rivalry, People reported, and a small disagreement about two years ago ended in a "blow-up."

"[They] have always been competitive, and they're always trying to one-up each other," a source close to Aaron told People. "It's been that way since they were kids. They got older, and the stakes got higher."

The source added, "It wasn't an argument about anything all that interesting. Some things were said on both sides that were regrettable."

If the brothers do have regrets, neither man is coming forward and admitting his faults or offering up an apology. It's been more than two years since tension began between Jordan and Aaron.

"It's been hard for Jordan," an insider noted. "Aaron is his family. It's sad."

Although it sounds like a rift only developed between Aaron and Jordan, who competed on Season 12 of The Bachelorette, the whole family allegedly took sides.

"Their parents got involved in the middle of it," said the Aaron source. "Everyone needed a cooling-off period. It could have ended there, but some people chose to go public with it, rather than keeping it a private family matter. And here we are."

The men's father, Ed, revealed to the New York Times earlier this week that the estrangement is "complicated" and "fame can change things," which would appear to be a shot at Aaron. Ed said he's "hoping for the best" when it comes to resolving their issues.

It apparently didn't help the situation when Jordan's family drama aired on television during his stint on The Bachelorette, which concluded last year with the sports analyst and entrepreneur getting engaged to JoJo Fletcher.

Aaron "has never wanted want to air this out in a public forum. He's going through great precautions not to make things worse," explained the source. "You're not going to see him on Oprah crying about all of this. He will deal with his family issues privately."

Aaron's estrangement "is all very upsetting to the family," said the People insider. "They don't understand how it's gotten to this point, and they miss having Aaron around."

Just three weeks ago, Jordan and JoJo embarked on a Rodgers' family vacation to the East Coast for some wintry fun, but Aaron was noticeably absent.

Jordan's parents went along for the trip, as did his other brother Luke and his girlfriend Arielle Snyder. The family posted funny photos on social media of them wearing ugly Christmas sweaters, pajamas and elf onesies.
