Joseph Duggar was all smiles with fiance Kendra Caldwell at the couple's recent engagement photo session.

The 22-year-old reality star's family posted pictures of the couple on their website last week following Duggar's proposal to Caldwell at sister Joy Anna Duggar's wedding in May.

The photos show Duggar and Caldwell holding hands, sharing a "side hug," and poring over what appears to be a Bible.

Caldwell's diamond engagement ring is visible on her left hand in the pictures.

"Joe and Kendra had a wonderful engagement photo session! We are so happy to share these with you," the Duggar family wrote.

Duggar and Caldwell met in church, and announced their formal courtship in March. The reality star popped the question May 26 while attending Joy Anna's nuptials to Austin Forsyth.

"I asked Joy and Austin two weeks ago if they would mind if I proposed to [Kendra] at the wedding," Duggar said in a video on the TLC website.

"They were like, 'Oh yeah, we'd love it if you do that.'"

"I think the thing we're looking forward to mostly in this chapter in life is that we're going to be able to minister together in greater avenues and spend more time together," he added of himself and Caldwell.

Duggar and his family came to fame on the TLC series "19 Kids & Counting," and now star on "Counting On." His sister Jill Duggar shared new photos of Samuel, her son with Derick Dillard, this month.
