Joseph Duggar and his wife Kendra Caldwell have revealed whether they have a baby girl or boy on the way.

The Counting On stars learned the baby's gender in an exciting and explosive way -- not your average gender-reveal party.
Joseph's brother, Arkansas constable and part-time police officer John David Duggar, reportedly mixed tannerite with blue-colored powder and then shot a bullet into the substance 200 yards away.
The Duggar family waited about 20 yards behind John David when he fired the shot, and once the explosive detonated, everyone celebrated as they watched blue powder fill the air.
According to Us, John David has undergone extensive gun safety and firearms training, and the substance he used for the gender reveal is commonly used in target practice.
"Wow! We are so happy to learn that our firstborn is a boy!" the couple told Us.
"Our minds are already racing toward all the future memories to be made with this little guy! Most of all, we are already asking God to bless him and help us grow him into a loving and faithful follower of Christ!"
Joseph announced in a video on the TLC website in mid-December 2017 that Kendra is pregnant and due in 2018.
He guessed at the time they were going to welcome a son, adding in the video, "I've always dreamed of having my own family and it's really just kind of surreal that it's actually here."
In an interview with the magazine shortly after the pregnancy announcement, Joseph and Kendra revealed they were thrilled to become parents.
"We are so excited to share with you that we are expecting the gift of a child ourselves! Wow, it's so exciting!!! We've both always loved children and seen them as a real blessing from God. It's so surreal to think of being parents and having our own little one. We cannot wait to see this new baby!" the pair said at the time.
Joseph and Kendra reportedly met at church when they were younger and got engaged during Joseph sister's Joy Anna Duggar's May 2017 wedding.

The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs, AR, in September, and they were reportedly married by Kendra's pastor father. Kendra decided to take the Duggar last name.
Counting On is set to return to TLC on Monday, February 26 at 9PM ET.
