Josh Halverson has found a home on Miley Cyrus' The Voice team following his loss in the "Battle Round" when he was a member of Alicia Keys' team.

"I feel like Miley is my spirit animal," Josh, a 31-year-old from Willmar, MN, told Reality TV World on Tuesday.

Josh was initially on Alicia Keys' team. For his Battle, he was paired up with Kylie Rothfield, 24, and asked to sing "House Of the Rising Sun."

Alicia chose to advance Kylie to the next round despite expressing how Josh's voice is "not even in a physical realm" and he "spreads light through music." However, Miley decided to steal Josh for her team heading into the "Knockout Round" since he's so unique and original.

When asked which coach is the better fit for him, Josh replied, "I thought it was Alicia, but now that I've gotten to talk to Miley, I feel like she is my spirit animal."

Josh continued, "Alicia helped me bring out my spirit and just the reflection of spreading truth and light through songs, and just helping me to accomplish that better."

But Josh found reason to gush about Miley, who saved him in the competition.

"Miley just helps me connect with me inner awesome. She really is a cool person and she expresses nothing but heart when she talks, and so, it's really allowing me to do that," Josh explained.

"And I think with this next round, it's going to help me express heart with my words and my song, kind of like what I did in this last [Battle] round. I think me and Kylie projected so much emotion. It was written all over our faces, especially in our eyes."

Josh therefore said he's very "excited for what's to come," and according to Miley's enthusiasm on Monday night's show, she probably won't be quick to let him go.

"I love Miley Cyrus," Josh added, "and I think she's a good person and I think she expresses nothing but heart, so I'm looking forward to it."
