Josh Murray and Amanda Stanton sparked criticism they treated Nick Viall poorly during Bachelor in Paradise's latest episode, so the pair decided to address the situation on social media.

"I was there to find a connection with an amazing woman, period. Intentions are 100% pure," Murray tweeted after Monday night's episode.
On the Bachelor in Paradise broadcast, Viall and Stanton were shown completely hitting it off. Viall offered the single mom of two girls a rose and told the cameras she would be the only person he could see himself pursuing in Paradise.
Likewise, Stanton had a huge crush on Viall and her feelings for him only grew once they enjoyed a one-on-one date in which they had a steamy makeout session by a bonfire on the beach.
Both individuals seemed optimistic about finding love in Paradise with each other until Viall's arch-nemesis from Andi Dorfman's season of The Bachelorette, Josh Murray, arrived on the beach in Mexico and asked Stanton on a date, which she gladly accepted.

It didn't take long at all for Stanton to appear completely smitten with Murray, whom one of the twins called "next level handsome." The couple made out on a sailboat and went snorkeling.
"It feels right. It feels great. This is what I came for. This is what I wanted," Murray said in a confessional. "I know Nick wants Amanda, but honestly, I don't care!"
Murray was later shown joking, "Nick and I are on a very different level. There's lions and then there's sheep. Roar."
Last night, Viall tweeted his reaction to Murray's diss: "Just to review the food chain. Lions hunt gazelle. Wolves hunt sheep. Carry on. #BachelorInParadise."
Once Murray and Stanton returned to the group after their date, Murray was shown trying to kiss Stanton right in front of Viall to upset him and make him jealous.

Viall, clearly hurt, vented about how Murray stole another girl from him. (Dorfman ended up dumping Viall in favor of Murray on The Bachelorette, but Viall later shocked the world by revealing on live national television he had slept with her in the Fantasy Suite. The admission infuriated Murray at the time.)
Stanton, who is loved by Bachelor Nation after her time on Ben Higgins' season of The Bachelor, took some heat last night for rubbing her relationship with Murray in Viall's face and not officially ending her romance with Viall before beginning another one.
One Twitter follower bashed Stanton's behavior, calling it "not cool."
"Obviously there's a lot of conversation that is left out. I would never intentionally hurt anyone," Stanton tweeted in reply.
Another person then admitted on Twitter she no longer liked Stanton because of how she handled the love triangle.

"I'm sorry! Unfortunately, there was a lot that happened that didn't make the show," Stanton insisted, later elaborating, "Side note: it never shows the conversation between Nick and I at the rose ceremony! Y'all might be missing something."
As for Murray, fans accused him of dangling Stanton in front of Viall's face like an object. Many Twitter users questioned whether Murray truly liked the girl or just found satisfaction in beating Viall in a competition once again.
On the show, Daniel Maguire talked to Viall about how Murray seemed fake, like he was an actor.
"Funny how someone who is pursuing acting is questioning my intentions and whether or not I'm acting," Murray tweeted about Maguire.

Murray then defended himself about claims he "stole" Stanton from Viall.
"They weren't an item, they both agreed to date other people after first rose ceremony, so there's ur truth," Murray wrote.
He later continued, "Aside from the unnecessary drama, my first date with @amandastantonnn was the best first date of my life, what an amazing woman!"
Murray also laughed about his edit on Bachelor in Paradise in general, insisting, "Bahahahaha that whole nick vs me talk when I returned from my date was cut up so much, cracks me up if y'all only knew what was said."
Bachelor in Paradise 2 favorite Jade Roper even took a shot at Murray. She tweeted last night, "Omg. Ewww, he only kissed her to show up Nick, not to actually kiss Amanda."

In a since-deleted tweet, Murray slammed Roper -- who took her husband Tanner Tolbert's last name -- saying that after appearing on two different seasons of The Bachelor franchise, she should know better that editing takes moments and comments out of context.
Murray added emojis of hands clapping in the tweet, clearly expressing attitude.
Murray additionally received a lot of heat on social media from The Bachelor alum including Jaclyn Swartz and Ashley Spivey.
"Andi's 'not so kind' words were/are 100% true. No fiction there. He's a horrible human," Swartz tweeted about the details in Dorfman's tell-all book which Murray was shown calling "fiction" during Monday night's Bachelor in Paradise broadcast. "The only real thing about Josh are the sweat beads dripping down his face."

"I'd choose Nick over Josh ANY day... Josh literally makes me ill. So phony... And to top it off he moans when he kisses. Wake up Amanda," Swartz added.
