Josh Murray says he's over Amanda Stanton and wishes her well on her third shot at love on reality TV when she appears on Bachelor in Paradise this summer.

"I am definitely not trying to get back together with Amanda. We are done. That ship has sailed a long time ago," Josh told People of his ex-fiancée whom he had proposed to on Bachelor in Paradise 3 in 2016. "There's been communications over the past few months; it hasn't been a fun few months to deal with."

Josh, 32, and Amanda, 27, confirmed in January 2017 they had decided to end their engagement and part ways following months of speculation their romance was on the rocks.

"I wish nothing but the best for her, but I have moved on," Josh said, insisting, "We will not be getting back together."

Despite previous attempts at reconciling, the couple apparently had a blow-out fight in March that involved police and seemingly shut the door on any chance of Amanda and Josh reigniting their flame.

And now, news Amanda will be looking for love on Bachelor in Paradise's fourth season is all but confirmed by the blonde beauty herself.

"At the end of the day, I wish her the best and I wish she can move on. I know she's going to be going on Bachelor in Paradise for the third time, so hopefully she can try again and find something," Josh said.

Amanda's upcoming stint in Mexico is only her second appearance on Bachelor in Paradise; however, she initially competed for Ben Higgins' heart on Season 20 of The Bachelor. So maybe her third time on a reality dating show will be the charm.

As for Josh -- who competed for Andi Dorfman's heart on The Bachelorette before joining last year's Paradise cast -- he told People that he "decided to take the plunge" and sign up for the dating app Hinge.

The former pro baseball player revealed he's trying to stay positive and optimistic about dating but has been living in a "negative world these past few months," which in turn "sucked everything out" of him.

While both Josh and Amanda have moved on with their lives, it's probably difficult for them to just forget about the past, especially since Josh grew to love her two young daughters, Charlie and Kinsley.

"There were a lot of things that happened," Josh told the magazine when explaining why they broke up to begin with.

"I love kids to death. I learned being in that relationship that I cannot wait to have my own kids. Kins and Char, I was a big part of their lives and they were a big part of my life. That's what kept me there for a long time, my love for them. I can't wait to be a father one day. I have to find the right person."

Besides his goal of starting a family, Josh confessed to People that he's not sure whether he learned anything about himself during his relationship with Amanda.

"But I did learn about the things I want and I don't want," Josh clarified. "The relationship kind of goes sour when you don't want to be in it anymore. I learned that I can't do that anymore. I have to go with my heart -- the longer I don't do that, the worse it gets."
