The Academy-Award winning actress and Bear Grylls will be traveling to Kenya in an NBC special called Running Wild with Bear Grylls for Red Nose Day on Thursday, May 25 at 9PM ET/PT.
The Running Wild episode is part of NBC's initiative to raise money for charity on Red Nose Day by calling viewers to action to donate throughout three hours of special programming beginning at 8PM ET/PT on May 25.
Red Nose Day, which launched in America two years ago, is a long-running annual U.K. campaign that uses the power of entertainment to raise money and awareness for children living in poverty around the world.
During her adventure with Grylls, Roberts will navigate a hazardous route through a landscape of desert, canyons and rivers to deliver life-saving vaccines to a remote village before the vaccines expire.

After a long journey to Kenya, Roberts will visit with patients and medical staff at Wamba Hospital and be given vaccines to keep cold on her trip ahead. Grylls will then challenge the A-list actress with activities such as jumping from a moving plane in order to safely deliver the cargo to the Samburu community.
Running Wild with Bear Grylls is produced by Electus and Bear Grylls Ventures. Grylls serves as executive producer along with Chris Grant, Drew Buckley, Vittoria Cacciatore and Del Shoopman.
As part of the Red Nose Day event, NBC will also air Celebrity Ninja Warrior for Red Nose Day at 8PM ET/PT. The celebrity edition will feature longtime Dancing with the Stars pro Derek Hough, Arrow star Stephen Amell, NBC News journalist Natalie Morales and more.
Following Running Wild with Bear Grylls, NBC's third annual The Red Nose Day Special hosted by Chris Hardwick will then air at 10PM ET/PT and feature a short film sequel to the hit movie Love Actually. The film will be called Red Nose Day Actually.
Beneficiaries of Red Nose Day grants include charity organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Children's Health Fund, Save the Children, and the Global Fund.
