Fox aired Grease: Live last night based on the original 1971 musical "Grease" and Paramount Pictures' 1978 film adaptation starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. The live musical was an overall hit and a blast to watch, as fans and celebrities everywhere overloaded Twitter with comments of praise and excitement.
Julianne did an excellent job playing Sandy, especially because the Dancing with the Stars judge nailed all her cheerleading moves and is the spitting image of the character looks-wise. Her acting and singing was also up to par.
"I don't know what just happened! Thank you guys so much! I am literally in tears. That was the best moment of my life," Julianne exclaimed in a video posted by Grease: Live's Twitter account last night.
Prior to her taking the stage, Julianne tweeted to her fans, "Tonight's the night! It's finally here! I can't wait for you all to see and be a part of this magical journey we as a cast and crew have all been on! This truly changed my life! I'm so incredibly grateful! My 10 year old dreamer self has been reignited! All my love light and joy to you all!! Have an absolute blast tonight... And make sure you hashtag #GreaseLIVE tonight! Mwah Jules xoxo."

Throughout Grease: Live, Derek gushed on social media about his sister's talent.
Derek said Julianne was "killin it" and he was "proud as a mutha." After his sister sang "Hopelessly Devoted To You," the DWTS pro captioned a still frame: "I'm straight-up emotional right now. That was beautiful, Julianne! I'm so proud of you!"
PenaVega, who played Kenickie, tweeted, "What an incredible evening! #GreaseLIVE was such a blessing to be a part of. So much love to my cast and crew. Thank you!! Good night ! 682 retweets 2,234 likes."
PenVega later called it "the craziest thing" he's ever experienced in his life. The Big Time Rush singer made it to the semifinals of Dancing with the Stars' 21st season with Witney Carson.
Vanessa Hudgens' role as Rizzo was also quite impactful although she had large shoes to fill. The actress announced her father had died moments before performing, so she dedicated the night to him.
