Julianne Hough shared her joy over her engagement to Brooks Laich on Wednesday.
"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the outpouring of love and well wishes surrounding my engagement!" she wrote on her blog. "This is certainly one of the most exciting times in my life and I am so happy to share it with you all!"
"What a week it's been!" she added on Instagram. "I'm just so happy and feeling so loved from all of you, and wanted to give you a quick update on everything. I can't wait to share our wedding planning adventures with you over the next few months."
Hough said she will take a temporary break from social media to "enjoy this special time" with her fiance, but promised "exclusive details and pics" upon her return. The dancer will return as a judge on "Dancing with the Stars" for Season 21 on Sept. 14.
Hough and Laich, a center for the Washington Capitals, have been together since December 2013. The dancer was previously engaged to Zach Wilson, and went on to date singer Chuck Wicks and "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest.
