Hough, who served on Dancing with the Stars' judging panel from Seasons 19-21, has announced she will not be reprising her role next season, People reported.

"I will miss being on the panel for Season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing," Hough, 27, told People. "The pro dancers, producers and crew at DWTS will always be my family."

"Julianne will always be a part of the Dancing with the Stars family and we hope to see her back in the ballroom in the future," show producer Rob Wade told the magazine.

Hough's departure means that longtime judge Len Goodman will be replacing her. He will sit next to returning judges Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba on the panel. Goodman took last season off because he had to attend to personal matters as well as other time-consuming career commitments.

However, Hough's absence may only be temporary.

"I promise it's not the last you'll see of me in the ballroom," Hough added in her statement.

Before Hough landed her spot as a judge on Dancing with the Stars, she competed as a pro partner on Seasons 4 through 8. She is a two-time mirrorball trophy champion but left the show to pursue her film and country-singing goals. Hough appeared as a guest judge during that time off before signing on as a regular judge.

Dancing with the Stars' 22nd season is set to premiere Monday, March 21 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
